Privacy Policy

Pounce ("the app", "we") is a casual arcade game. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Data we collect

We do not ask you for any personal information, accounts, or sign-in.

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK may collect and process:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA / Ad ID)
• Approximate (coarse) location, derived from your IP address
• Product interaction and in-app usage data (e.g. ads shown, taps, gameplay interactions)
• Advertising data (information about the ads you have seen)
• Device information (model, OS version, language)

This data is used for third-party advertising and analytics. It may be used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. On iOS the app asks for your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before using the advertising identifier for personalized ads; if you decline, you still see ads, but non-personalized ones.

Leaderboard & cloud save (optional)

Pounce has an optional global leaderboard. It only activates if you choose a display name in the game — until then, your scores and progress stay on your device and nothing below applies.

If you join, the app sends to our server and stores:

• The display name you picked (shown publicly on the leaderboard — don't use your real name if you don't want it visible)
• Your best score (shown publicly next to your name)
• Your game progress (stars balance and unlocked cosmetic items), so it can be restored if you reinstall or switch devices
• Your country, derived from your IP address at our hosting provider's edge (country only — never your precise location; the app does not request location permissions). It is shown as a small flag next to your name.
• A randomly generated player ID and a recovery code. These identify your game profile only; they are not linked to your identity, and we do not know who you are.

IP addresses are processed transiently to serve requests and derive the country code; we do not store them. Leaderboard data is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure.

We do not sell this data or use it for advertising, and we do not see your identity.

Children

Pounce is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

Your choices

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and the in-app prompt.
• You can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.
• The leaderboard is opt-in: simply don't pick a display name and nothing is sent to us.
• You can change your display name at any time from the leaderboard screen.
• To delete your leaderboard entry and saved progress, email us your display name and recovery code (shown in the leaderboard screen) and we will remove them.
