Heroic — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Heroic ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS strength-training app developed and operated by Ahmet Adem as an individual developer. You can reach the developer at ahmet.a.adem@icloud.com.

2. Data we process

Heroic processes the following categories of data locally on your device and, if you are signed into iCloud, syncs them to your personal iCloud account:

• Workout data — the exercises, sets, reps, and weights you log during your training sessions, plus computed values such as next-week target weights, warmup loads, and estimated one-rep max.
• Body metrics — bodyweight entries that you enter manually or that the app reads from Apple Health (with your permission).
• App preferences — your program selection, units (kg/lb), and similar UI settings.
• Trial-period state — the date you first opened a program, used to determine whether the free-week period is still active. This is stored in iCloud Key-Value Storage so reinstalling the app does not reset your trial.

3. How that data is stored

On your device

All workout logs, body metrics, and preferences live in the app's local database on your iPhone.

In your private iCloud

If you are signed into iCloud, Heroic uses Apple's CloudKit private database to sync the data across your own Apple devices and to back it up. The CloudKit private database is scoped to your Apple ID. The developer cannot read, list, export, or modify the contents of any user's private database — Apple does not provide that access. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Apple Health

If you grant permission, Heroic reads bodyweight entries from Apple Health and writes strength-training workouts and bodyweight entries back to Apple Health. Apple Health data never leaves your device through Heroic — we do not transmit it anywhere. You can revoke Heroic's Health permissions at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Heroic.

4. Purchases

Program unlocks are sold as one-time, non-consumable in-app purchases processed entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Heroic does not see, store, or process your payment details. We receive only the transaction information Apple provides for entitlement verification (whether you own a given program). Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

5. What we do not do

• We do not run any backend servers and do not collect your data on our infrastructure.
• We do not use third-party analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs.
• We do not show advertising and do not share data with advertising networks.
• We do not use the App Tracking Transparency tracking framework. Heroic does not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not sell or rent your data. There is no data to sell — we do not have it.

6. Exercise demonstration images

Heroic shows static poster images that illustrate how each exercise is performed. These images are bundled inside the app at install time and are displayed entirely from your device — no network request is made to fetch them, no third party serves them, and no usage information is reported when you view them.

7. Sharing your workouts

Heroic can render your workout data — exercise names, weights, reps, and computed values such as estimated one-rep max — as an image you can save to your Photos library or share through iOS's standard share sheet (Messages, Mail, Instagram, or anywhere else your device offers).

• Local rendering. The image is drawn on your device. Heroic does not upload your workout data, the rendered image, or any related metadata to a Heroic server. There is no Heroic server.
• Photos library — Add Only. If you choose to save a rendered image to your Photos library, Heroic uses iOS's Add Only Photos permission. This lets Heroic add the saved image but does not let Heroic read, list, or browse your existing photos.
• Backdrop photos. If you choose one of your own photos as the share-image backdrop, iOS's secure photo picker hands that single image to Heroic for use as the backdrop only. Heroic does not see the rest of your Photos library and does not retain the photo after the share image is composed.
• Bodyweight is excluded. Your bodyweight is never included in the rendered share image, even when it is part of the workout context.
• Onward sharing. Once you hand an image off through the iOS share sheet, the destination app's own privacy policy governs what happens to it from there. Heroic has no visibility into or control over what the destination does with a shared image.

8. Your rights and choices

• Access & export: all of your Heroic data lives in your device and your iCloud — you already have it. Apple's Data & Privacy portal lets you download a copy of your iCloud data.
• Deletion: deleting the Heroic app from your devices and removing its data from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Heroic removes all data Heroic has stored. Because we do not retain any copy of your data, no further request to us is needed.
• Apple Health permissions: revoke at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Heroic.

9. Children

Heroic is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children. The app is intended for adults engaged in strength training.

10. International users

Because Heroic does not transmit your data to developer-operated servers, no cross-border transfer occurs through Heroic. Your data resides on your device and in your iCloud account; iCloud's storage region and data-handling are determined by Apple based on your Apple ID country/region.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Material changes will additionally be surfaced in the app.
